Write a Book

write a book project
In line with the Strategy for Literacy and Numeracy, the Write A Book Project supports the development of language and communication skills in a meaningful and memorable way. Oral and written language development is supported in all its forms. This project will foster an enjoyment of reading amongst children, especially as the books are created by children themselves.

The Write a Book Project inspires primary school children to script, write and create their own books. The products of their wonderful imaginations can then be shared and enjoyed by other children and families. Children will engage in the processes of writing, composing, constructing, designing, illustrating and presenting their books. Write a Book combines the English Curriculum area of the Writing Process with the Visual Arts Curriculum.
